Our Philosophy

At Green Wedge Clinic, we know that when families feel overwhelmed and systems expect too much, the true needs of children and young people can get lost.

We were created in response to a struggling system, one that too often piles pressure on parents, overburdens teachers, and reduces young people to a checklist of challenges. This approach leaves families, educators, and children feeling exhausted, and it misses what matters most.

We don’t believe in quick fixes or tick-box therapy. Instead, we believe that real progress begins with connection, not compliance.

When a child or young person feels seen, heard, and understood, their capacity for growth unfolds. When families, educators, and professionals around them feel capable and supported, real and sustainable change becomes possible.

What We Do

What we do

  • Support children and youth up to 25 years old, recognising the challenges and opportunities across early years, school life, adolescence, and young adulthood.

  • Build strong, authentic connections with young people and their families.

  • Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, and the wider community.

  • Focus on strengths, well-being, and relationships—not just challenges.

  • Create space for parents and carers to feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.

  • Our vision is simple: to create an environment where every child and young person has the chance to thrive, and where the people who support them feel connected, confident, and capable.

Who We Are

Who We Are

At Green Wedge Clinic, we noticed a growing need in the Green Wedge region. Families often face long waitlists, limited local services, and very few options for adolescents and young people. We wanted to create a place where children and youth (up to 25) could access timely, meaningful, and supportive therapy close to home.

Every child and young person has a unique profile of strengths and challenges. Our role is to explore these together—helping them navigate barriers and find pathways toward feeling connected, capable, and valued.

We believe real progress happens when families, carers, educators, and professionals feel supported too. That’s why we work alongside the whole support network, building confidence and connection for everyone involved.

In Spring 2025, Green Wedge Clinic was officially launched, with our home base nestled in leafy Eltham. From here, we are proud to serve the community with care, insight, and collaboration—so that children and young people can grow, thrive, and feel truly seen.
